    Taste of the North

    Two floors of incredible food, drink and enjoying the company of friends! Many of the Chippewa Valley’s best culinary artisans come out to share their skills and talents all the while raising money for the Heyde Center. The funds raised will contribute to the Heyde Center’s mission to bring high quality, affordable arts to the Chippewa Valley. So help the Heyde Center while you sample these exceptional products, learn from the experts, browse the art galleries, and listen to live while socializing with new and old friends. Admission: a minimum donation of $30 per person

    Christmas Village at Irvine Park

    Christmas Village - 32nd Anniversary! See the beautiful lights from Thanksgiving through New Year's Day.

    Opening Night: November 28, Thanksgiving Day. 5-6:30 pm Walking Only; 6:30-9:30 open to traffic and walking.

    Howard-Wheaton 4-H Club: Friday, November 29. Serving Hot Chocolate and Cookies 5-7pm in the Activity Building.

    Run for the Lights 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Walk: Saturday, November 30. 2:45 - Check in and Race-day registration (at Marshall Warming House); 4:00 - Race Start - Main Pavilion. Park is closed to vehicle traffic during this time. Post race - awards, refreshments, treats. CHIP timing for 5K run participants!

    Chippewa Valley Newspapers "27th Annual Walk Through the Park": Saturday, December 14. 5-6:30 Walking Only; 6:30-9:30 Open to traffic and walking.

    Christmas Eve: Open until Midnight!

    Registration & race bag pick up starts @ 2:45 p.m., Marshall Park (Early race bag pick up Friday, Nov. 29 2:30-4:30 p.m. at Parks & Rec office)

    Register by Nov 15: $25/person, includes shirt. After Nov 15: $30/person, shirt not guaranteed. $5/person discount for group sign-ups of 3-5 participants

    Northwinds British Brass Band "Christmas Concert" at the Heyde Center

    This holiday concert will feature festive and joyous music of the season with a shine that only brass instruments can provide. The Northwinds British Brass Band holiday concert has been a long standing tradition at the Heyde Center and features musicians from all over northwestern and northern Wisconsin. British brass bands are ensembles comprised of cornets, a flugelhorn, tenor horns or French horns, baritone horns, trombones, euphoniums, tubas, and a percussion section.

    Tickets: Adults $9, Seniors $8, Youth (<18) free

    Horse Drawn Wagon Rides

    Horse Drawn Wagon Rides through the Illiminated Christmas Village in Irvine Park and beautiful downtown Chippewa Falls. Advance tickets are available at Family Fare (downtown location only) beginning November 29th. Wagon rides leave from the Chippewa Falls Main Street parking lot, 514 North Bridge Street.

    Holiday Tea at the Heyde Center

    Join in at the Heyde Center for this quintessentially English tradition. Along with the traditional tea service, enjoy delicious finger sandwiches accompanied by freshly baked selection of desserts by Sweet Clarisse Cateringm in this fifth annual fundraising tea for the Heyde Center. Afternoon tea will be held in the splendor of the auditorium decorated for the holidays and complimented by festive music by MJ Consort to make it a special afternoon. Admission: $20 per person

    Jingle Ball 2019 at the Heyde Center

    Light Appetizers and cash bar starting at 6:30 p.m., Dancing at 7:00 p.m. until 11:30 p.m.

    Come and dance the night away with an evening of ballroom dance music. Break out your dance shoes and join us on the dance floor for a wonderful evening of waltzes, foxtrots, salsa, merengue, swing and tangos by a full band drawn from the talented student and alumni musicians of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's music department. Start the evening with taste tempting hors d'oeuvres and a full cash bar will help keep you fueled for a full evening.

    A Tribute to the Music of John Denver “Christmas Special” at the Heyde Center

    The music of John Denver is timeless and well known. Layne Yost's "Tribute to the Music of John Denver" is a faithful tribute that pays homage to the music and the man. Yost, McDowall, and Shimoda capture the simple soul of Denver's music through guitar, fiddle, and upright bass arrangements. Woven within the music are stories that give insight into Denver's life and legacy. This is a special, Christmas show that will take you back and remind you of simple things that remain true. Tickets: $15 adults, $13 seniors, $6 youth
