      Food 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Music 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

      The Heyde Center auditorium has been empty for far too long. This summer we are hosting six weeks of mini-concerts by established local performers such as Nick Anderson and the Skinny Lovers and The CollECtive Choir as well as new artists Matt Boelter and Ramblin' Lou Carver. The concerts will be held in the auditorium with the exception of The CollECtive Choir, which will be held outside in the parking lot depending on weather. In addition to the music, we will have a food truck set up in the parking lot, and inside there will be a full bar available. There is no cost for admission; but free-will donations to the performers are requested.

      June 23rd - Nick Anderson & The Skinny Lovers—voted 'Best Rock Band' by Volume One readers was formed in 2015 and independently released a series of EPs that landed them a Number 1 and Number 8 spot on independent radio.

      August 18 - The Part Time Duo - Husband and Wife A.J. and Alissa Haut aren't the run of the mill acoustic act. Their performances are chalk full of great cover songs that they love to sing and dance to, sprinkled with their own brand of comedy. Never the same show twice.

      August 25 - Aaron Lee Kaplan - Aaron is a solo acoustic blues/folk fingerstyle guitarist as well as a singer/songwriter. He plays slide guitar and also add percussion to my voice and guitar with a foot stomp box. When performing, Aaron does a mix of originals and classic rock, blues and folk covers.

      September 1 - Jazz Standards With trumpet/flugelhorn and guitar/vocals, Todd Bartlett & Jerry Way explore the full spectrum of jazz standards. The much-loved melodies and lyrics are iconic, while the improvisational treatments are fresh and original.

      Tuesdays: July 14, 21, 28 and August 4, 11, 18, 25

      During this experience you will be able to take a scenic bike ride through Chippewa Falls exploring different routes each week and end back at the Leinie Lodge for a cold beer along with a few giveaways. Your hosts will be Dick Leinenkugel and Bill Quirk. (subject to change).

      Your ticket includes: Secure spot on the ride, 2 pints of Leinenkugel's beer, chance at giveaways and great company!

      Live Music with Justin Jay Arnold at The Leinie Lodge

      Leinenkugel's Leinie Lodge welcomes Justin Jay Arnold on Friday, August 7, 5-8pm. 124 E Elm Street, Chippewa Falls.

      Justin Jay Arnold is a songwriter from Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin who is guaranteed to pull at your heartstrings with his sandpapered vocals and lyrics that are honest and personal. He is a part of the emerging outlaw movement growing in Wisconsin's Chippewa Valley and has been nominated multiple times for Best Folk Performer in Volume One’s Best of the Chippewa Valley reader’s poll. Drawing inspiration from his own life, as well as the triumphs and struggles of others, Justin has been compared to Chris Stapleton, Cody Jinks, Johnny Cash and Kurt Cobain in the way that he will grab your heart and ears with his songs, and you won't want him to let go.

      Having released two albums previously in a self-titled EP in 2010 and his "Death and Life" album in 2014, he is currently working on three new albums, which will release throughout 2020. He has opened for and/or played alongside such acts as: Hymn for Her; Evergreen Grass Band; Dames; Michael Perry and the Longbeds; Eggplant Heroes; Greg Gilbertson; James Ignacio; Past & The Present; Brian Bethke; Adelyn Rose; Mark Mallman; Caitlin McGarvey and most recently, the legendary David Allan Coe. You can often hear Justin’s songs on Converge Radio, 99.9 FM in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and the rest of the Chippewa Valley. Converge Radio Station Manager Scott Morfitt has referred to his music as “part of the DNA" of that station.

      Is there something in the beauty, power and danger of the Chippewa River that inspires creative expression?  Does life in the north woods nurture artistic activity?   Are there folks living in the Chippewa Valley who love the arts?  The answer to all three questions is a resounding YES!  THE SWAMPERS: “From the Heart” celebrates community arts – music, creative writing, the visual arts, theatre and dance.  Kicking off the Chippewa Falls Pure Water Days celebration, the musical lumberjack aggregation performs stories and songs by Jerry Way with projected photographs by Carol Way. The entertaining and informative odyssey features the vocal & instrumental “swampgrass” harmonies and storytelling abilities of Amanda Schafer, Judy Brist, Kathy Danielson, Tim Danielson, Rob Kuchta and Jerry Way.       Chippewa Valley Century Ride

      Starting at Northern Wisconsin State Fair Grounds, Chippewa Falls, WI, the Chippewa Valley Century Ride is a not for profit bike ride that benefits hunger task force agencies, local parks, youth organizations, and special needs in the Chippewa Valley. Our courses includes a 35, 50, 75, or 100 mile option all on blacktop roads, leading through the beautiful farmland of Chippewa County along the Chippewa and Flambeau Rivers, Lakes Wissota and Holcombe, and through the kettle moraine topography of the Chippewa County Forest.

      The entry fee covers our 4 full-service rest stops with snacks, refreshments and full facilities, water stops, “sag”/support vehicles and a full meal featuring locally made brats with all the 'fixins', soda and Leinenkugel's beer. A vegetarian meal is available if ordered in advance (just let us know on your pre-registration form).

      Riders can register and check in from 7am-10am and immediately start the Ride.

      ....a Heyde Center for the Arts culinary collaboration with Bushel and a Peck,18444 Hwy OO, Chippewa Falls. 

      Tue, Aug 11, 2020, 6:00 pm. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

      Experience a delicious farm-fresh dinner and a stunning view overlooking rows of apple trees in the rolling hills of Chippewa County with orchard owners Lisa and Wayne Geist.  Bushel and a Peck orchard is situated on a scenic ridge separating the Chippewa River Valley and the Eau Claire River Valley. The orchard was started over a century ago and now includes over 20,000 trees producing over 30 varieties of apples. The orchard adheres to ecology-based growing practices that promote soil and tree health, nurture pollinators, and protect biodiversity. In addition, the orchard has currant plantings, raspberries and a pumpkin patch.

      The evening begins at 6:00 p.m. with drinks and a walking or a wagon ride tour of the farm. Wayne and Lisa will be on hand to talk about the orchard and offer some behind the scene insights about a working apple orchard. At 7:00 p.m., guests will gather around the farm table for a dinner of charcoal chicken hot off the grill, fresh grilled corn on the cob, Waldorf salad, buttery baby red potatoes and homemade cornbread with honey butter. After dinner, guests will move to the fire pit for live music and a bonfire under a ceiling of stars not visible in the city.

      Casual attire and sturdy walking shoes recommended, but provisions will be available for people with mobility limitations. 

      Rain date: Wednesday, August 12 at 6:00 p.m.

      Cost is $45/person, which includes:

      · dinner and non-alcoholic beverages such as water, coffee/tea, and light sodas.

      · camaraderie

      · live music around a cozy bonfire

      · all in a beautiful and serene orchard setting.

      Additional beverages (beer and wine) can be purchased at the orchard.

      Since her early childhood, Elsa has been playing the piano and singing. In 2011 music brought Elsa to Minneapolis where she continued her education in performance, studio recording, and live sound. Elsa has also obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, which she uses to convey the principles of social justice and human rights through music.

      We will have wine, cheese, and snacks available for purchase, so come, relax, and enjoy.

      Autumn Harvest Winery and Orchard produces many wines using fruit from their orchard, and a hard cider. Visitors can enjoy complimentary wine tasting, sample local cheeses and chocolates, relax on the outdoor patio, or peruse the gift shop. Starting in May you can enjoy the beautiful sights of blooming apple trees, flowers and an abundance of wildlife. In July you can purchase fresh blueberries or pick your own. During the fall season, apples and pumpkins can be purchased or you can pick your own, enjoy wagon rides and a free corn maze.

      With over 100 years of collective musical experience, Cathy Reitz and her two favorite musicians have a repertoire that spans some of the most important and influential popular American songs and jazz standards from the early 20th century. The Great American Songbook generally comprises of standards by George Gershwin, Cole Porter, and Irving Berlin, and many more. The concert is a full hour of high quality entertainment that showcases the music and stories from the Great American Songbook. The trio features award-winning Cathy Reitz (vocals and melodica), Jeff Reitz (woodwinds), and Emily Watkins (guitar and vocals). Be happy and put a little jazz in your day!       Come to the Chippewa River Rendezvous!

      Reenactment of our wonderful history  ~  Bring the past to the present. Many different camps, black smith, fur traders and a flea market. Door prizes, silent auction and many old time games for children and adults.  Other non-profit organizations serve breakfast and lunch both days and a church service on Sunday.       In addition to covering the latest hits, Matt & Laurel are also songwriters who love creating and playing their original work. Matt released his debut EP in 2016 and a debut duo album is planned for the near future.
